Fresh Cut Tree Care and Facts

Transport your tree covered to prevent windburn.
Keep the tree upright with the stem in water until it is placed in a stand.
Cut off 1 to 2 inches of the stem before placing the tree in the stand.
Add water daily, and keep your tree away from heat.
Fresh cut trees from our farm will hold their needles well past New Years if kept properly watered.
Fresh cut Virginia Pines are wonderfully fragrant -- rnuch more so than any pre-cut ones on a1ot.
Dry dead needles on the interior of some trees are perfectly natural.  This is due to careful shearing that creates dense growth on the outside which causes needle drop on the inside.  It is not because the tree is dry.  Careful shaking will remove all the interior needles.

We shear our trees twice a year to achieve their beautiful shape.
